Plans for the future care of thousands of patients belonging to a GP who retired last month are still to be revealed, despite temporary measures running out tomorrow.
Dr Srinivasan Subash Chandran, who ran High Street practices in Sheerness and Queenborough, announced before Christmas that he was retiring.
He had more than 4,700 people on his books and was the only doctor in Queenborough.
Following his announcement Swale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) - the body in charge of allocating cash for local health services - made arrangements for patients to be seen up until the end of this month.
The CCG said patients would continue to be seen and looked after by GPs.
However, those arrangements are due to run out tomorrow and no further plans have been shared with patients.
The CCG has said those affected would receive a letter explaining what would happen.
But patients are still to receive anything explaining the new arrangements.
A Swale CCG spokesman said: "Our priority is to ensure they can continue to receive GP services and care, such as GP appointments, routine health checks and prescriptions when needed.
"All patients registered with Dr Chandran's practice are being informed individually by letter of arrangements for their future GP care beyond January 31.
"Letters are being sent out this week and are expected to be delivered to patients' homes in the next few days."
