Police have cordoned off a busy junction following a car accident this afternoon.

The vehicles collided at just before 2pm at the corner of The Broadway and The Leas, Minster, outside the Whitehouse restaurant.

Kent Highways also attended the incident to clear a quantity of diesel that had spilled on the road.

Both of the car drivers were treated by paramedics on the scene, but nobody is said to have been seriously hurt.

The road has now reopened.
