Air ambulance called to medical incident near Aldi distribution centre in Queenborough, Sheppey

The air ambulance and paramedics were called to a medical incident near the Aldi distribution centre in Queenborough, on Sheppey.

It happened yesterday at about 10.15am in Thomsett Way and police officers were also called to assist.

The air ambulance landed near Thomsett Way

A spokesman from Kent Police said: "There were no suspicious circumstances and no crimes were reported."

An eyewitness said all Aldi staff were told to stay in the canteen while the emergency services responded to the incident before eventually being sent home.

When contacted for further comment, a spokeswoman from Aldi said that the company would not be saying more as it was a police matter.

The condition of the person involved is not known.
