A dad said he was disgusted to discover a man relieving himself against a town centre church in full view of passers-by.

The Sheerness man, who didn’t want to be named, said he was walking with his children when he saw the man, thought to be in his 20s, urinating on the Holy Trinity Church building.

He took a picture of the culprit in full flow, just after midday on Sunday.

He said: “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, especially as it was a Sunday,” he said.

“I was with my kids, but there were other families around with their children.

“It’s just terrible, really disgusting.

“There’s no excuse, especially as there are public toilets which are only a two-minute walk away from the church.”

Rev Tim Hall, vicar of West Sheppey Benefice, which covers Holy Trinity Church, said: “There’s nothing you can say other than it’s a very unfortunate thing to happen.

“People should be more discerning about public behaviour.”
