A victim of an arson attack is appealing for witnesses with photographs and video footage to come forward.

Kirsty Sawyer was caught in a blaze with two close friends in the top flat of Glass House building in Marine Parade, Sheerness.

The 21-year-old and Craig Monahan were visiting Paul Miles in June 2013.

They were playing a video game when the fire was started.

Kirsty, who fell from the fourth-storey window, suffered fourth degree burns on her back and hands and third degree burns on her ears and arms.

She also had internal burns which has caused tissue in her voicebox to scar, causing serious damage to her voice and breathing. She has had operations on her back to remove scar tissue.

“We are asking for people to come forward who were there, or if they know of anyone that was at the scene and possibly got any footage of what happened" - Kirsty

Kirsty said: “We are asking for people to come forward who were there, or if they know of anyone that was at the scene and possibly got any footage of what happened.

“At the time any videos that included Paul and I falling or Craig out on the ledge was removed from both Facebook and YouTube.

“We have been searching since, and been unsuccessful in finding any media from that day, other than a few clips from news reports.

“We have been battling with ourselves trying to piece together what happened, in what order and for how long.

“We are ready to watch it, and would be really grateful for anyone that may have the ability to help us in doing so.”

She added: “Please share, so we can finally perhaps get a little more closure, to help us piece together some more of what happened to us that day.”

Kirsty, who lives with her parents in Hartlip Close, Sheerness, has continued to work at Morrisons, Mill Way, Sittingbourne.

Paul fell from the burning building and suffered three broken ribs, a broken sternum, punctured lung, three pelvis fractures and internal bleeding. He has recovered and moved to Canterbury where he works at ASDA.

Craig, who was rescued by fire crews, lives in Sittingbourne and works for a packaging company.
