A warning to people living in Eastchurch told to close their windows and doors has been stood down.

The warning came from fire crews after they were called to a caravan blaze at the junction of Third Avenue and Dawn Rise at about 12.50pm after the fire broke out.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus are tackling the fire.

Crews left at about 2.20pm and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
