The driver of a lorry which was found to have almost 30 illegal immigrants inside will not be prosecuted.

Police and border force officials were called to Aesica Pharmaceuticals, Queenborough, on October 12 to reports dozens of migrants had jumped out of a vehicle delivering to the company.

The group - comprising 27 Vietnamese nationals and one man from Laos - were rounded-up by emergency services and taken to a detention centre in Dover. Aesica was forced to destroy the entire lorry cargo, which was active pharmaceutical ingredients.
