The first shoppers have been browsing the shelves of a much-anticipated convenience shop.
Co-op in Thistle Hill, Minster, on Sheppey opened its doors to customers on Friday.
The ribbon was cut at the branch in Aspen Drive with the help of residents Matt Wheatcroft and Colleen Hiller - who was the first resident to live on the Thistle Hill estate 20 years ago.
There were youngsters from the Boogie Tots group, which is held at the nearby Thistle Hill Community Centre, to welcome shoppers with an energetic dance.
Manager Dani Arnone has previously been at the helm of the existing Co-op in Queens Road, Minster, and in Main Road, Queenborough.
She said: "It's gone down really well. All the community has really taken to it and they've been commenting on how well the shop looks.
"In the first few days, in terms of revenue, it shows how much it's been needed.
"More than anything it feels really good. I'm so pleased with it.
"Our in-store bakery seems to have done quite well along with our own brand stuff and meal deals.
"I'd like to thank the whole community and customers from other stores who came along with cakes and supported us."
The store has 15 staff members and is open seven days a week between 7am and 10pm.
It will also be taking daily deliveries.
