Forensics officers remain at scene of 'burglary' at Halfway, Sheppey

Police remain at the scene of a suspected burglary.

Officers are believed to have been first called in following an incident early yesterday morning.

But last night forensics teams appeared at the property in Halfway on the Isle of Sheppey.

A spokesman for the force said at the time "inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the nature of other offences that may have been committed, are ongoing".

There are no further details on what other offences there might be and a spokesman said it was unlikely they'd be an update today.

This afternoon, several specialist officers have been spotted going in and out of the property.

There are a number of emergency service vehicles parked outside as well.
