Police helicopter called to Marine Parade in Sheerness after concerns for a man's welfare

A police helicopter was called out last night after concerns for a man's welfare.
There was a large police presence, including five emergency vehicles, on the Isle of Sheppey for around four hours to search for the individual.
Officers and paramedics were called to Marine Parade, Sheerness, at around 8.24pm, after reports of concerns for his safety.
The man was located at around 12.40am this morning and he was passed into the care of medical professionals.
An ambulance service spokesman said: "I can confirm we were called to reports of a person in need of medical attention on Seager Road, Sheerness at approximately 12.40am today.
"Ambulance crews attended the scene and the person was assessed and treated before being taken to hospital."
While a police spokesman added: "The man was subsequently arrested in connection with an unrelated matter and remains in custody pending enquiries."
