Family classic ET will be the final showing of a free open-air film festival tonight in Sheerness.

Charity Sheerness Enhancement Association for Leisure (SEAL) has held four screenings so far this summer in Beachfields Park, off Royal Road, which have attracted hundreds of viewers each time.

In previous weeks Disney’s Frozen, Abba musical Mamma Mia, Oz: The Great and Powerful and Dirty Dancing have appeared on the giant inflatable screen.

SEAL Chairman Chris Foulds said: "People have said they think it's an absolutely fantastic idea. As the weeks have gone on more and more people are coming and the feedback we've been getting on Facebook has been really positive."

He added extra financial support will be needed to hold more festivals in the future but the charity hopes to have enough funding to hold more screenings later this summer.

ET will be shown from about 8.30pm and anyone is welcome to go along with their own blankets and chairs.

In the event of bad weather, keep an eye on the SEAL Facebook page as the film may have to be postponed.
