A man has been found dead after police cordoned off a residential street.
Police and forensics officers were spotted in Alexandra Road, Sheerness, just before midday yesterday.
Today (August 14), it was confirmed a man had died at the property and a woman, who was also at the address, was taken to a local hospital.
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called By South East Coast Ambulance Service to a medical incident at 11.34am on Tuesday.
“Officers attended the scene where a man in his 30s was confirmed to be deceased.
“At this stage, the death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report has been completed for the coroner.
“A woman who was also at the address was taken to a local hospital for medical attention.”
A KentOnline reporter at the scene on Tuesday described forensics heading into a home inside the cordon and around two police vehicles.
One witness described seeing emergency services earlier in the day down the road before being told to move back.
The ambulance service said it couldn’t comment as the call was to a private address.
