Heavy police presence as search for missing Sheerness woman continues

There was a heavy police presence on Sheppey last night as part of a search for a missing woman.

A number of police vehicles were seen at Neats Court, in Queenborough, at about 7.30pm.

Officers were searching for 24-year-old Charlotte Crellin, from Sheerness, who had been reported missing.

Police have this morning confirmed she has been safely located.

The Sheppey Coastguard Team assisted in the search.

A spokesman said: "At 9.30pm, Sheppey, Medway and Herne Bay Coastguard teams were tasked by Dover coastguard to assist Kent Police with a missing person search.

"The teams were stood down at 2.45am."

Charlotte Crellin has been reported missing

The police helicopter was also spotted circling over Minster and Sheerness.
