A major emergency response was launched after a person fell from a bridge.

The air ambulance was sent to the scene of the incident just after 10pm last night. The road was closed in both directions for more than four hours.

The air ambulance landed at the Sittingbourne and Milton Regis Golf Club.

Police confirmed reports on social media that she died at the scene are inaccurate.
