A man has been found dead in a street.

Police were called to reports a body had been discovered in Meyrick Road, Sheerness this morning.

Officers were seen in the street at around 6.30am.

The force remains at the scene this afternoon and it is understood the street has been cordoned off.

The man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained, however, an investigation is ongoing.

His next of kin have been informed.
