Police helicopter searches for wanted man following Sheerness assault

A police helicopter was deployed to assist a search for a wanted man.

Officers were seen out in force across the Sheerness area last night looking for an individual following an assault.

There were reports of “lots of police” along St George’s Avenue and the police helicopter “circling over” Marine Town.

A police spokesman said: “During the evening of Monday, June 26, the police helicopter was deployed to the Sheerness area in connection for a search for a man wanted in connection with an assault.”

It has been confirmed that no arrests were made.
