Bearded man tries to break into houses and parked cars in Minster on Sheppey

A bearded man spotted trying to break into houses and parked cars is wanted by police.

He was seen at around 5am on New Year's Day in the area of Sunnyside Avenue, Minster, on Sheppey.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The suspect is in his early 20s, 5ft 11in, slim and has a short to medium length ginger beard. He was wearing a dark jumper and jeans.

Detective Constable Charlotte Grant said: "Kent Police received a number of reports about this man but we believe there are further victims and witnesses who have not yet contacted us.

"We are urging anyone who recognises this man from the description to call our appeal line.

"Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for video footage that may assist our investigation."
