Arrests after false number plate found on van

Police arrested three people after a van was found to have a false number plate.

The van was reported to have driven over the Dartford Crossing and was later spotted in Sheerness.

Police followed the van to Brabazon Road, Eastchurch, and took three people in the car into custody at about 3.30pm on Wednesday.

A 23-year-old man was later released without charge and a 14-year-old boy was also released under investigation.

Jonny O'Donoghue, 24, from Nazing, Essex, was later charged with driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.

He was bailed to attend a court on October 5.
