Sheppey residents in Halfway and Minster without water after pipe bursts

Residents have been left with no water for more than five hours due to a burst pipe.

Those living in Halfway and Minster on Sheppey are currently affected.

At around 12pm Southern Water confirmed they were aware of a burst in the area.

They warned that some may experience low pressure or have no water at all.

A spokesman from the utility company said: “Our team is on the way to investigate and make the necessary repairs.

“Sometimes repairs take longer than we’d like, as we need to complete numerous checks and tests.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we thank you for your patience.”

Near the Oasis Academy Campus in Minster, there have been reports that water is “pumping all over the road”.
