People are being invited to sign up for this year’s Sheerness Lifeboat Run.

It takes place on Sunday, September 14.

There are two-mile and five-mile courses along Sheerness and Minster seafronts, both starting by Family Amusements (formerly K’s Casino) in Neptune Terrace, Sheerness.

The first four home at last year's Sheerness Lifeboat annual run Paul Young (2nd), Craig Rousell (1st), Ian Mumford (3rd), and Sam Mumford (4th)

Participants in the shorter run will turn around near the Ship on Shore pub, while the longer course goes to the end of the Minster Leas and back. Both courses finish at the start line.

The run starts at 10.30am but check-in is at 9am. Entry packs are available at the leisure centre off Royal Road, Sheerness, or you can sign up on the day.

After the run, there will be a medal presentation at the lifeboat station, allowing fundraisers to meet the crew and have a look round.
