Travel on the Sheppey Bridge was seriously affected by yesterday's snowfall.

Kent Highway Services earlier reported delays on the A249 in both directions between Kemsley and Queenborough due to the current weather conditions.

It has since revealed the road is blocked in both directions between the B2005 and the A250 .

The department said: "Multiple HGV's have become stricken due to severe weather conditions.

"Extra Highways England resources have been deployed to assist Kent Police.
