Teenager arrested after woman threatened with a knife in robbery in Invicta Road, Sheerness

A woman was threatened by a man holding a knife in an alleged robbery in the middle of the afternoon.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested following the incident in Invicta Road, Sheerness, just after 3pm yesterday.

The woman's handbag and purse were stolen. They have since been recovered but £60 was reported missing.

The victim was not injured and the suspect remains in custody.
