Motorists are being hit by delays this afternoon as a major route is being controlled by temporary traffic lights once again.
The signals are in place along the Lower Road, in Minster, Sheppey.
A two-way set is at the junction with Eastchurch Road and other three-way signals are at the junction with Scocles Road.
The Eastchurch Road lights are for BT Openreach to carry out works, while the Scocles Road ones have been put in place by UK Power Networks.
It is not yet known how long the lights will be in place, but motorists are already complaining of hold-ups.
One driver, heading to Sheerness from Bay View, said they were queued back to Brambledown at about 1.30pm.
Another said traffic heading towards Leysdown was queuing from the Thistle Hill roundabout.
The last lot of temporary lights on the Lower Road were installed near Wallend Cottages in June.
They were in place for a week so that engineers could lay drainage channels underneath the road.
Motorists trying to get to work from the east end of the Island then were having to add an hour to their journeys during rush hours.
