People have so far raised thousands to help the family of a child with a life-limiting condition make their dream of a trip to Disneyland Paris come true.
Last week we reported how the parents of Minster youngster Ezmae Catley had met with doctors to discuss her end-of-life plan because the three-year-old’s range of complex conditions is deteriorating.
After reading the story online, Carl Morris – an old family friend of Ezmae’s mum Claire Morrish – decided to set up a fundraising page.
So far, £2,395 has been donated towards a target of £3,000.
Mr Morris said: “I know their are charities around that can help but from my experience there is a lot of paperwork involved and even then, there’s no guarantee Ezmae will be chosen which is why I have taken it into my own hands to make this happen.”
Miss Morrish said she was “overwhelmed” by the messages and gestures her daughter had received from people.
In a message on the Ezmae’s Fundraising Facebook page, she said: “Again as a family we cannot begin to thank everyone for the support we receive for our gorgeous girl.
“She really does deserve the best and so much more she is the biggest fighter and I know we will have her with us for sometime to come as she will fight every step along the way to stay here.
