Three lifeboat crews were called out to rescue jetksiers who crashed in the Thames Estuary late last night.

Teams from Gravesend, Southend and Sheerness RNLI lifeboat stations combined to rescue the two injured jetskiers.

The two men are thought to have crashed into a sandbank in the Allhallows area at around 11.20pm.

Ambulance crews confirmed they attended, and took a 26-year-old man to Medway Maritime Hospital with back and chest injuries - which were said to be serious, but not life-threatening.

The second man, a 29-year-old was taken to the same hospital with head injuries, which were also serious, but not as bad as the first man's.
