When six-year-old Gracie Croall-Craig gets her hair cut next month, it will not just be swept up into the salon’s bin.
That’s because the generous youngster is going to donate it to a children’s cancer charity.
Gracie, from Warden, has hair which reaches to below her waist.
But when she visits the Bedhead and Body hairdressers, she will be having her locks lopped to shoulder length.
Eastchurch Primary School pupil Gracie is then going to send the hair off to the Little Princess Trust, which is a charity to help children suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment.
The trust supplies and funds wigs specially designed for children.
The charity accepts donations of hair, which is then sent to the USA and China to make the wigs.
Not only is Gracie donating her hair, but she is also raising money for the charity by getting her haircut sponsored.
Her mum, Katy Craig, 27, said: “Gracie is so excited about having her hair cut.
“It makes me very proud that she wants to do such a lovely thing at such a young age.”
To sponsor Gracie, send a cheque, made payable to Little Princess Trust, to 36 Thorn Hill Road, Warden ME12 4NU.
Alternatively, visit her fundraising website at www.justgiving.com/Gracie-Croall-Craig
Gracie’s mum hopes to send all the money to the charity by Friday, September 4.
