Youngsters' actions spoke volumes

Children getting ready for an afternoon of fun

Volunteers made a noise by laying on activity sessions for young people.

The 35 young people who are members of NOISE – a group connected to Minster Road Baptist Church – spent last week clearing gardens in the morning before setting up bouncy castles, games, and sporting activities for children in the afternoons at Rose Street School, in Rose Street, Sheerness.

Members of NOISE follow the motto actions speak louder than words and with some 200 children turning up to each session they stuck to their word.

There was even a climbing wall for the more adventurous.

Rev Steve Barber, minister of Minster Road Baptist Church, said: “It has been absolutely fantastic and everyone has really enjoyed themselves.”
