The Sheppey big cat seems to be back with a vengeance.
It had been keeping quiet for a good few months but, after our report about the sighting in Minster last week, another has come in.
Thelma Turner, of Marian Avenue, Minster, said she spotted the cat in Scrapsgate Road in the early morning when she was taking her dogs out walking.
She was driving up the road and it crossed in front of her.
At first, Thelma thought it was a black labrador but, when she a got a better view she realised it was the mysterious animal.
The 78-year-old said: “It was a Sunday morning so there was nobody about.
“It was the tail that convinced me because it was long and thick and the cat was very muscly.
“It’s the first time I’ve seen it – I have heard people saying it and I always thought they can’t all have imagined it. It’s lovely to have seen it.”
Neil Arnold, of Kent Big Cat Research, is hoping to come over to the Island and try to get the cat on film.
