Police have arrested six people following a spate of burglaries in Sheerness.
Detectives investigating the break-ins carried out a number of warrants in the town this morning.
Two 24-year-old men, a 17-year-old boy, a 23-year-old man, a 16-year-old boy and a 26-year-old woman, all from the area, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft offences and remain in custody.
This week we reported how there have been more than 12 break-ins across Sheerness in six days.
Cash and jewellery were taken from many of the properties.
Det Insp Mike Worrall said: "The aim of these warrants was to arrest those suspected of these offences.
"However, there is the secondary effect of disrupting the network of crime that fuels burglary.
"'We will use all the tools at our disposal to reduce the number of burglaries across Swale.
"However, I'd also continue to urge the public to come forward if they have any information about stolen goods or break-ins."
