Snodland pair arrested after attempted break in at former Minster school

A man and a woman have been arrested following an attempted break in at a derelict school.

Officers were called to Halfway Houses Primary in Southdown Road, Minster at around 1.50pm on Saturday after reports two people were trying to gain access.

A search revealed a key safe had been damaged.

A man aged 26 and a woman, 25, both from Snodland, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, going equipped for theft and having an offensive weapon.

It is alleged the pair had a hammer, screwdriver and other various tools.

They have since been released under investigation while officers carry out further inquiries.
