A teenage girl arrested in connection with the death of a baby has had her bail extended.
The remains of the newborn girl were found shortly before 1pm on Saturday, March 4 in Broadway, Sheerness.
The teenager was arrested at 2.15pm on the following Wednesday and was bailed until today.
It has now been extended, pending further inquiries, until the end of August.
A police spokesman said: "She is continuing to receive the appropriate support in relation to her welfare."
The remains were found on the green between the Roman Catholic Church and swimming pool on the seafront.
There was also evidence a small fire had been started nearby.
The cause of the baby's death is not known.
