Beer lovers are set to be well catered for at an annual festival over the weekend.
The Playa pub on Minster Leas, Sheppey, will host its second Beer Festival tomorrow (Saturday).
People will be able to try four ales, a selection of ciders and lagers as well as seven varieties of gin.
A barbecue and homemade pies will also be available.
There will be live music from Beggars Belief, from 3pm to 4.30pm, Connor Rochester, from 5.15pm to 5.45pm, and Blighty, from 6pm to 8pm.
Blighty’s drummer Martin Bishop said the Sheppey five-piece were looking forward to the gig.
“We’ll be playing some classics – it’s our first one for a while,” the 51-year-old said.
“The Playa is in such a good location too and it’s more suited for us as we have a good following in the area.
“People thinking of coming along at the weekend can expect fantastic British band music.”
He added: “The atmosphere and continued support we get from everyone is amazing.”
Blighty is made up of lead singer Luke Moss, bassist Mark Whitton, guitarists Rob and Nev Harpum and Martin on drums.
They have a Brit-pop sound playing songs by artists including Oasis, The Jam and The Who.
The popular band is also booked to play at Faversham’s Hop Festival again in September.
No tickets are needed for The Playa’s Beer Festival – tokens will be on sale on arrival.
