A biker who was knocked from her motorbike says she was left lying in a busy road in pain as other drivers whizzed past.
Zara Parr, from Sheerness, was on her way to get a tattoo in Bromley when she was involved in the crash at the Stockbury Roundabout on the A249, just outside Sittingbourne.
Now she is searching for the two people who did come to her rescue in a bid to thank them for stopping.
The 34-year-old said: “I was in the right lane and the car that hit me was in the left lane.
“He just cut across, I didn’t have a chance to do anything.
“My body just went into the side of his car and the next thing I knew I was lying on my back by the roundabout in an awful lot of pain.
“I tried to swerve but there just wasn’t enough time, I must have been in his blind spot as he didn’t indicate.
“I was in a lot of pain and it was thought that I had a fractured hip.
“I was just laying on my back - I don’t know how long for but it seemed like forever.
“People just kept driving past me, no one stopped, they just continued as normal, it was horrible.”
Zara, who had been riding a Honda CbR 650, explained she braced herself for the impact but it happened so quickly she had no time to react.
She said her body bounced off the vehicle.
Zara explained: “As I laid there the person who hit me was just going on about whose fault it was and insurance.
“It wasn’t until a lady, with a short brown bob, stopped and called me an ambulance that I was asked if I was okay.
“I was in so much pain so I don’t remember much, but she was in her mid 30s and drove a white or silver car.
“I just want to find her to say ‘thank you’ because she was supporting me and explaining to the other driver that insurance would be sorted at a later date and my health was more important.”
The accident happened at around 9am on Tuesday, May 31.
Zara, who used to be an ambulance controller at Coxheath, was blue lighted to Medway due to fears over her hip.
The only other driver that began helping Zara was an off-duty police officer.
Zara explained: “He got out his car, put on his high vis and started controlling traffic.
“The fact he started doing his job when he wasn’t supposed to be working and made sure I was safe was lovely.
“I just want to say thank you to them both, I didn’t get their names.”
Zara was lucky to walk away with only muscle damage and is having to take a few weeks off work to recover.
Police are not investigating the incident.
The bike's fairing, clutch casing and lever, handlebar and indicator were damaged.
Zara said: “It will cost between £800 and £1,000 with labour to repair, I’m just hoping insurance will cover it.”
