Judges of the Minster in Bloom competition have taken a different approach to looking at the gardens this year.
Minster parish councillors Jill Stimpson and Mad Mike Young hopped on board a horse-drawn carriage to make their way round the village roads.
The vehicle, led by Paddy and steered by Tania Thompson, was chosen as it is a much more environmentally friendly way to travel.
Judging has now been completed ahead of the awards ceremony on Monday, September 23, at Minster Abbey hall.
There will also be a raffle.
Winners will be notified by post and invitations sent out in due course.
Cllr Stimpson said: “It’s a great way to travel.
“You can get a much better view as you’re higher up and everyone we saw smiled and waved.”
