Two boats from Queenborough Rowing Club took part in an annual event.
Crews flew the flag for the town at the Thames Great River Race on Saturday.
The Row Brows competed in The Sexburgha and they completed the 21 miles from the Millwall Slipway at London Docks to Richmond in two hours 47 minutes and the Queen Bs rowed in The Phillippa.
It was swamped twice and the crew had to bail out, but still managed to finish in two hours 54 minutes.
The youngest person to ever row from the club was taking part - 13-year-old Zach Buckley, from Sheerness.
Club secretary Caroline Wilson said: “The weather was not as bad as forecast although one boat found rain and the other missed it.
“The boats are now classed as ‘Queenborough gigs’ and are in a category all of our own which meant other categories all vying for position at the start and then our two with lots of room and visible to all.
“We are proud to take part in the annual rowing marathon.”
