Body in park: inquest to be held

A MAN whose body was discovered in a car at Barton's Point Coastal Park in Sheerness at the weekend has been named as 36-year-old Phillip Gray.

His body was discovered in a red D-registration Ford Escort. There was a hosepipe running into his car.

Police were called to the park, off Marine Parade, at about 7am on Friday by a member of the public.

Mr Gray, originally from Sheppey but recently linked to an address in Ramsgate, was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham.

The coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held.
