A popular beach was sealed off by police after a bomb was dug up this afternoon.
Disposal teams and emergency services were called to Leysdown-on-Sea, Sheppey, at around 2pm.
It is believed the device dates back to the Second World War.
Police confirmed they have left the scene and the Army bomb squad is handling the situation.
