Boy, 12, hit by car in Minster

A boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car in Minster yesterday.

The 12-year-old, thought to be a cyclist, was struck in Scrapsgate Road at 5.30pm.

He was taken to King’s College Hospital in London with serious injuries including a head injury.

Paramedics from the Kent Air Ambulance were called and treated the youngster at the scene before he was taken to hospital by a land crew.

Police closed the road at its junctions with Noreen Avenue and Marina Drive, while emergency services attended.
