A bus driver was forced to call the police after trouble-making youths were weaving their bikes in and out of moving traffic and playing chicken.
The Chalkwell bus operator called 999 after the children’s behaviour threatened the “safety and wellbeing” of themselves and their customers using the service at Sittingbourne Bus Hub.
Chalkwell Coach Hire Ltd director Roland Eglinton said: “A member of our staff called the police as there were a number of youths causing problems.
“There were kids on bikes doing wheelies between moving vehicles and playing chicken. We take the safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers seriously, and as a policy, we will report all instances of this nature.
“Travelling by bus is a great way to get around, but during the school holidays we do get problems with young people causing problems, particularly in the town centre.”
Police confirmed they were called to St Michael's Road at 1.22pm on Tuesday, August 1.
A spokesman said: “Officers were called to reports of a group of young people causing anti-social behaviour in Sittingbourne.
“The group were later reported to have left the area. Details have been taken and local officers made aware.”
