A key road is closing overnight for more than a week for highway improvement works.
A lengthy diversion has been put in place for motorists looking to travel on the A250 Queenborough Road in Halfway on Sheppey which will be closed from 8pm until 5am for nine days.
Works will begin on Wednesday, November 29, and are expected to be finished by December 8.
The road will be closed at the junction with Belgrave Road.
Access will be maintained at all times for Belgrave Road residents, when it is safe to do so.
As a result, Chalkwell Coach Hire has confirmed that the bus stop at Holm Place in Queenborough Road will be suspended next week with no pick-ups or drop-offs possible due to the work being carried out.
A diversion is in place for vehicles accessing A250 Queenborough Road north via the A249 Brielle Way, A250 Bridge Road, Millennium Way, Trinity Road, Cavour Road, Invicta Road, High Street, and Halfway Road.
The alternative route for motorists accessing A250 Queenborough Road south is via A250 Halfway Road, High Street, Millennium Way, Bridge Road and A249 Brielle Way. Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while works are undertaken by Coinford Construction Ltd.
