General election candidates vying for votes in Sittingbourne and Sheppey were put to the test at a hustings meeting on Friday evening.
Churches Together, which is made up of a group of churches on the Isle of Sheppey, hosted the event at The Church in Hope Street, Sheerness.
Mike Rolfe (Lab), Lee McCall (Ind), Keith Nevols (Lib Dem), Mike Baldock (Ind), and Mad Mike Young (MRLP) were all in attendance.
Conservative candidate Gordon Henderson was not able to make the meeting but fellow Tory Nicholas Hampshire answered on his behalf.
The forum was chaired by reverend Paul Rush and the format was similar to the BBC’s Question Time, with brief three-minute statements from the candidates before an open Q&A session.
About 35 constituents turned out and asked questions on a wide range of topics including Brexit, fracking, immigration, deprivation on Sheppey and the NHS.
Event organiser Andrew Parr said: "The meeting was boisterous but was well controlled by chairman reverend Paul Rush.
"Many thanks to the Church in Hope Street for allowing the meeting to be held and the
candidates and constituents for attending."
