Police have raided a cannabis factory in Sheerness this afternoon (Thursday).

They are still at the scene, which is a warehouse in Grace Road, off New Road.

At the moment it is unclear how many plants have been seized but a police spokesman said it is a substantial amount.

The warehouse has been split into a number of different rooms to cultivate the drugs.

The spokesman added that the plants were at all stages of maturity.
