A man has been arrested following a crash in which a Ford Ka left the road and smashed through a fence and into a chalet this morning.
Police attended the scene at the Catamaran Yacht Club, Marine Parade, Sheerness.
One of the two men in the car has been seriously injured and is currently receiving care at a London Hospital.
A section of the road was cordoned off while damage was assessed and the car removed, but has now reopened.
A police spokesman said: "A second man was taken by land ambulance to Medway Maritime Hospital with minor injuries.
"He was later discharged from hospital and has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences."
It is understood that the chalet was unoccupied at the time.
A nearby resident said: "I didn't see it but it woke everyone up in my house and on the site and by the time we rushed out, people from the site and the chalet it crashed into was already out there."
Witnesses to the collision are asked to phone the appeal line on 01795 419119 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting reference 31-0289.
