PAEDOPHILE Billy Evans is set to be jailed after being found guilty of abusing two girls.
Maidstone Crown Court heard how Evans, of St George’s Avenue, Sheerness, told one of the youngsters how he wanted to play a game with her before going on to touch her sexually.
The court heard how he molested the girl and on another occasion got her to touch him after forcing her to undress.
He also showed her pictures on his mobile phone of him performing a sex act.
She later told police how he pinned her down and raped her.
The second victim was to break down and reveal that Evans had done “rude things” to her.
She did not tell anyone, she said, because he threatened to kill her mother.
Prosecutor Deborah Charles said the girl found it difficult to tell police officers what happened, so she wrote it down.
She said Evans, 27, committed sex acts on her and made her perform acts on him.
When arrested in January last year, he denied any sexual abuse happened and claimed he had never been alone with the victims.
After conviction, Deborah Champion, defending, told Judge David Griffith-Jones QC: “He is well aware the only outcome is going to be a lengthy custodial sentence.”
Remanding Evans in custody until sentence after April 11, the judge said: “It will be necessary to have a report to consider dangerousness.”
He told Evans: “You know very well that nothing less than a very significant prison sentence will follow. The real question I have to consider is whether a determinate sentence will suffice, or whether it is necessary to pass imprisonment for public protection.
“It depends on whether I consider you are to be classified as a dangerous offender.”
