Islanders have been left scratching their heads - after a bizarre petition was set up calling on MP Gordon Henderson to back plans for a Jurassic Park-style resort for Sheppey.
The petition, set up on online petition site change.org, is headed 'Turn the Isle of Sheppey into a real life Jurassic Park'.
It follows on to mention tongue-in-cheek plans to bring a bit of dinosaur magic to the island.
Set up by Bertie Crablebs, it already has 40 supporters of the 100 needed to send the petition to the backbencher.
It said: "So with The Isle of Sheppey being pretty much the heart of the country, with a great harbour, loads of delicious sheep... and a booming population desperate for anything more entertaining than awful family fun days, why not build a real life Jurassic Park here?"
Mr Crablebs extols the virtues of mixing the extinct and prehistoric with modern-day islanders.
He adds: "Of course, we'd have to be careful with security, we've all seen on at least 4 occasions what can go wrong when you mix Dinosaurs and the paying public, but as long as we're careful... what could possibly go wrong.
"Imagine... Tyrannosaurs, Velociraptors & Triceratops all running amok around Neats Court."
The petition maker claims the project is a lot more likely than attracting a Primark to the island.
