A drug dealer has been sent to prison for three years.
Maidstone Crown Court heard how Kairon Morgan was caught with more than 100 grams of crack cocaine.
The 22-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by police, after it was seen speeding on the A249 towards Sheppey on November 16.
When officers searched the vehicle they discovered the drugs beneath the front passenger seat. A set of scales were also seized from the footwell.
Forensic tests later showed the drugs weighed a total of 116 grams and had a street value of up to £11,600.
A mobile phone provided further evidence of dealing, with text messages from Morgan making reference to ‘bagging up’ drugs.
The dealer, formerly of Almond Tree Close, Sheerness, pleaded guilty to charge of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.
Investigating officer PC Danny James said: "Morgan had enough crack cocaine to potentially make in the region of almost 600 separate street deals.
"He was arrested as a result of some really robust policing by local patrols and ultimately this has prevented a very significant amount of drugs from being distributed onto the streets of Sheppey."
