Customers started queuing at 4am for the opening of a new Home Bargains today.
The discount chain has moved to the former Aldi site in Millennium Way in Sheerness.
There were around 50 people queuing this morning with the first person arriving at 4am.
Pictures show customers waiting with trolleys eagerly anticipating the store opening at 8am, with around 20 staff on site.
Back in September a spokesperson for Home Bargains said: “We are really excited to open our first store in Sheerness.
“In addition to our extensive range of food and non-food products, we will also have a range of fresh, chilled and frozen products, plus an in-store bakery.
“We will be recruiting from the local community, with all available roles advertised on our careers website.”
Home Bargains has more than 500 sites across the UK.
There are currently 12 in Kent, with nearby Sittingbourne and Maidstone all offering customers what the company calls “top brands, bottom prices”.
The Sheerness store will be open until 8pm today.
