Police have released the names of the two men found dead off the Island’s coast yesterday (Tuesday).

They are 55-year-old Bernard Faulkner, of Jubilee Crescent, Queenborough, and 32-year-old Jamie Beecham, of Coronation Crescent, Queenborough.

The men’s bodies were recovered from the water around Queenborough after a major search operation launched when they went missing at sea on Sunday.

They went missing at around 10pm after making their way out to a yacht in the harbour.

Sheppey Coastguard, Sheerness lifeboat, and Kent Police were all helped in a search by the RAF search and rescue helicopter from Wattisham.
