The Sheppey Crossing was closed earlier this afternoon due to a broken down vehicle.
There was congestion on the A249 Sheppey-bound, after traffic was diverted via the Kingsferry Bridge.
The bridge had reopened by 4.20pm but delays were expected until 5pm.
