It is found at the back of Stanley Avenue and is being offered on the instruction of the trustees and is one of 138 lots at the Clive Emson auction on Wednesday, March 22.

The site has a guide price of between £235,000 to £245,000.

Auctioneer John Stockey said: “This is an unusual opportunity and we are offering it without a reserve. The area extends to 1.67 acres (0.67 hectares) and will be of interest to see who bids.”

Other lots include a dilapidated bungalow, known as Buena Vista, in Preston Hall Gardens, Warden, and Riverbank House, a three-bedroom property in Irwin Road, Minster, which comes with an annexe.

Auction appraiser Jon Rimmer said: “These contrasting properties are both desirable.

“Riverbank House includes the annexe which might be utilised in various ways. It has gardens and would make a lovely family home.

“The bungalow is very run down but is on a good sized plot and is close to the coast.

“We expect interest in both.”
